The short documentary "Mama Please Forgive Me" was screened at the Time Warner Theater as part of The Americas Film Festival of New York. Other films screened that evening were: "Humanexus" from Ying-Frang Shen, "Delivery" an experimental Brazilian short film directed by Khalil Charif and Marcos Benison, "La Balleine" an animation short film from Miguel Rueda and Cuatro Puertas, a smart and funny short film that speaks about the life in Cuba, by Juan Pablo Daranas, winner of the best short film of the festival.
The Americas Film Festival of New York is a project from the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker Education of City College of New York (The City University of New York - CUNY). TAFFNY aims to create a new culture of cinematography appreciation by providing a dynamic space for the public and artists to meet, reflect on multiculturalism and diversity in our society, while promoting the work of new and emerging filmmakers. TAFFNY represents the rich diversity of the cultures, languages and stories of North America, Central America, and South America.
